‘Thanks for a fabulous break in the Shropshire Hills—our first time to the area and we’ll definitely be back. Loved the walks and fresh air. The cottage is the perfect base to explore from and come home to: delicious home-cooked food, and falling asleep under the stars, a huge highlight. You’ve got the whole package here!’

‘The end of another magical stay in one of the finest locations you could possibly imagine. The cottage weaved it’s usual magic and the cares of life drifted gently away—you may have gathered we love it here and already planning our return’

Blissfully quiet and away from it all, Birches Mill Cottages are tucked into a secluded valley in the South Shropshire Hills, just three miles from the pretty village of Clun, and a short drive from historic Ludlow.
The 17th century former corn-mill has provided the perfect refuge from city life for owners Andrew and Gill and, using their backgrounds in art and design, they have tastefully converted it to two comfortable country cottages, ideal for rest and relaxation.
The surrounding countryside is outstandingly beautiful and rich in birds and wildlife – a unique and unspoilt retreat we hope you can share.
